The challenge

Bringing 82 years of heritage to a new city.

Babai Hotel entered Bengaluru’s thriving restaurant ecosystem at a time when diners crave authenticity, heritage and emotional connection. With 82 years of legacy from Vijayawada, the challenge was to reintroduce classic Andhra cuisine to a cosmopolitan audience — without its signature dishes and story getting lost in the city’s fast-paced F&B environment.

We positioned Babai Hotel as the ultimate destination for authentic Andhra comfort food, bridging nostalgia with modern appeal. The approach focused on storytelling — leveraging heritage, a celebrity inauguration by actress Sreeleela, and strategic media and influencer engagement to drive trial, conversation and loyalty.
